Krista Schwartz – Principal Designer
Krista is co-founder of Indicia and has been creating memorable spaces for her clients for many years. It is her vision and creative talent that provide the bedrock on which the firm was built. In addition to her creative talent, Krista is a careful listener and always delivers just the right balance of style with practicality. From the initial consultation, through installation and to the finishing touches, Krista turns dreams into reality.


Daisy Firebaugh – Senior Designer
Prior to joining Indicia Daisy owned and managed a full-service residential interior design company for nine years. She is known for her collaborations with home builders and remodelers creating healthy, beautiful design solutions for clients based on their goals, needs and lifestyles. Daisy’s philosophy “Nothing is in good taste unless it suits the way you live. Great interior design is beautiful, creative and timeless, but more importantly it is a reflection of the personality and lifestyle of the client” is represented in every project.


Anita Johnson, AKBD - Senior Designer
As an independent designer with Indicia, Anita has over twenty years of design experience with several well known Twin Cities firms.  She has a keen eye for color and strives to honor the elements and principles of design, sometimes with a twist. Anita wants clients to "love where they live", bringing out the best of their personal style; be it traditional, classic, contemporary, or an eclectic mix. She believes her being a good cook and baker help immensely in designing a great kitchen for her clients. One of Anita's favorite sayings is ”there are no bad colors, just unfortunate combinations!”


Katie Grondahl – Designer
As an independent designer with Indicia, Katie brings an extensive background of design to the remodeling and new construction process. Katie’s strengths lie not only in her design sensibilities but also her in-depth knowledge of the selections process and an ability to bring a project vision to fruition. Her beautifully executed full color perspectives allow clients an artistic preview of their interiors.


Don Schwartz – General Manager
Don is co-founder of Indicia and wears many hats at the company including marketing, finance, IT, HR and general management. Drawing on many years experience in the corporate world as a contracting business process owner, Don applies those disciplines to everything that goes on at the company. In addition, Don is owner of Schwartz Properties, a multi-family housing developer and manager.

Together, the team delivers a fluid design process that consistently delivers projects of distinction. All our designers have four year design degrees from major institutions and we actively participate in the following professional organizations which set the standards of ethics and professionalism in our field:
